On the first Sunday of every month you can find members of Hus Church at the First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids helping to serve dinner to the hungry in our community. Volunteers from our congregation, other churches, youth groups, and civic organizations help with the Sunday Evening Meals Program. Beginning at 4 PM and going until 6 PM, it takes 8 - 10 volunteers to finish helping setup, serve, and then clean up.
This has been a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and to help those that are in need. A special thank you goes to Hedy Benesh who has been overseeing this ministry for several years. Her hard work and dedication are appreciated more than she will ever know.
